ARKRAY is currently looking to fill a Buyer/ Planner position responsible for the purchasing activities, supply chain management, and regulatory compliance of purchasing and importing activities for all raw materials, sub-assemblies, distributed finished goods, non-capital equipment and supplies for ARKRAY USA.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct planning, analysis and purchasing  for all activities including raw materials, sub-assemblies, distributed finished goods, non-capital equipment and supplies
  • Utilize and / or maintain a number of planning tools in order to optimize inventory levels and conduct purchasing activities
  • Oversee compliance to FDA, US Customs and ISO 9001 quality systems and regulatory requirements in the purchasing and supply chain process.
  • Responsible for compliance with vendor contracts and price management.  This includes organizing and reviewing competitive proposals, negotiating contracts with vendors and an ongoing focus on material cost reductions including freight and non-conforming materials costs.
  • Coordinate inbound importing logistics from key international vendors, including the coordination with freight forwarders, US Customs and FDA.  Manage the Import for Export process as required by FDA regulations.
  • Maintains purchasing files and all necessary documentation regarding purchasing activities and vendor performance against established procedures.
  • Assist the Quality Systems Program Manager with preparing Supplier Selection, Evaluation and Approval and communicating with the Suppliers as required.

Knowledge and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory management and supply chain functions within a medical products company or applicable industry is required         
  • Strong aptitude with Excel and Access for analysis and analytics purposes and familiarity with ERP systems, SAP preferred.         
  • Knowledge of FDA, ISO, US Customs and medical product industry regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment is preferred         
  • Minimum of a two-year associates or technical degree preferred         
  • Purchasing Certifications (APICS/ASCM) desired
