ARKRAY is hiring a Service Manager for our Laboratory division to develop and manage the growth and profitability of the USL field service business. Attain or exceed established business objectives through the combined efforts of the service team. Recruit, train, and develop Field Service Engineers to provide effective and timely customer support. Responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling, and budgeting. Maintain knowledge of current customer needs and direct work force to satisfy those needs. Work closely with sales to assist in securing new service opportunities and retain current business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for field and in-house staff recruitment, training, and continued development to ensure service department objectives are met.
  • Develop spare parts inventory requirements for primary warehouse, depot, and trunk stock. Continue to evaluate these inventories based on timely repair and cost effectiveness.
  • Manage extended service contracts with ARKRAY customers to ensure customer satisfaction as well as USL profitability.
  • Assist Sales in the RFP process to ensure competitive service and spare parts pricing as well as competitive extended service levels.
  • Provide Sales support with demonstrations and trade shows.
  • Prepare the annual USL service budget, manage the ongoing monthly expenses and capital projects within the approved budgets, and provide assistance to the Finance and Accounting functions in support of financial analyses and projects.
  • Responsible for the implementation, training, ongoing use, and compliance to the regulatory processes, procedures, and documentation system by all service employees in accordance with FDA and ISO requirements.

Knowledge and Skills

  • 5-7 years' management experience required.
  • 3-5 years' experience in service, preferably in a medical products company or applicable industry, is required.
  • A four-year degree or related technical training preferred.
