Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop training material for new and current diabetes patients and caretakers
  • Lead and organize diabetic education services and programs including group classes and other community events as necessary
  • Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with client/patients
  • Pursue development of new business with potential referral sources and client/patients
  • Participate in negotiations with referral source organizations as requested
  • Develop existing business relationships with referral sources and client/patients, with an emphasis on customer retention
  • Administer the Company's advertising and public relations campaigns, including development of print and media initiatives; coordinate with external agencies as needed
  • Represent the Company at industry events in a professional manner that will enhance the Company's public image and reputation
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and marketing activities, and communicate up-to-date information with other departments of the Company
  • Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
  • Participate in the Company's performance management program as requested by the Performance Management Coordinator
  • Participate in Company committees when requested
  • Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's Degree in marketing preferred
  • Effective interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
  • Two years of experience in HME or home health industry, HME sales and marketing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of third party payer policies
  • Computer skills that include word processing and efficient use of the internet and email
