ARKRAY is currently hiring a National Account Manager to sell ARKRAY's product line within the Diabetes Category to Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), Private insurers/Health plans, Managed Medicaid/cal organizations, Medicare Advantage Plans and PBM's by gaining formulary acceptance and establishing pull-through programs.  The Managed Care Specialist will be responsible for building brand awareness and market share in this market segment. 

Qualified candidates in any area of the continental United States will be considered. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in determining market strategies and goals for ARKRAY's product line.  Ensure implementation of these strategies and budget accordingly.

  • Prepare and conduct sales presentations.

  • Prepare Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP).

  • Maintain an awareness of industry and competitive activity necessary for successful business development.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations to identify and address ongoing customer needs and opportunities.

  • Create and follow through on customer specific business plans, focused on meeting specific, customized, product specifications and plans.

  • Establish priority client target list within the Health Care Arena, determine target list of priorities based on divisional goals and objectives.

  • Contact key decision makers in an effort to partner, develop and present best practice solutions.  These key decision      leaders include: Directors of Pharmacy, Chief Medical Officers, Contract Negotiators, Cost of Care staff, Provider Relations, P&T committees, Vendor Committees, Finance and Operations staff.  

  • Implement and execute Glucocard products and programs within Health Plans, Managed Care Organizations, IPA's, Formularies, etc. per protocol of Contracting Entity and ARKRAY's  Contracting and conversion process.

  • Provide value to the healthcare professional by providing clinical insight and demonstrating superior features and benefits of ARKRAY products and programs.

  • Working knowledge of Healthcare reform and ability to position and align ARKRAY's products and programs for value based offerings within ACO's, Bundling arrangements, Chronic Care Management models, Patient Centered Medical Homes, and Pay for Performance. Work with Market Analyst evaluating utilization, financial and clinical data to position ARKRAY's products and programs to effectively impact contract negotiation and positioning with above identified contracting entities.

  • Employ strong negotiating and contracting skills to sell targeted products and associated services.

  • Work with NSM's and PAM's, divisional VP's and Dir. on contract implementation and pull through strategy (conversion plan) effectively working towards the organizational goals as well as the individuals quarterly goals and objectives. 

  • Manage territory effectively and budget to maximize sales per dollars and expenses.

  • Represent ARKRAY at local, regional and national trade shows that pertain to our business.

  • Provide various reports to Director such as call and expense reports, market share updates, spread sheets, weekly summary, etc.

  • Effectively update and utilize laptop and CRM to maximize organizational skills. Use to generate memos, contracts, check and send e-mails, and create Power Point presentations, etc.

  • Other duties as apparent or assigned.


Knowledge and Skills:

  • 5+ years experience in Managed Care / Medical and Pharmacy Insurance Plan related sales, working with key national and regional MCOs private insurers and PBM's.

  • Experience in provider reimbursement and contracting, provider relations and provider contracting.

  • Specific diabetes category experience preferred.

  • Contacts within the ndustry (MCO's, Managed Medicaid, PBM's, Health plans).   

  • Microsoft Office computer knowledge.

  • Strong selling, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Proven customer service ractices that have resulted in building long-term relationships and repeat business.

  • Highly motivated and self-directed who functions well in a results-oriented environment.

  • Ability to analyze financial data, clinical data and utilization data

  • Strong writing skills for RFP completion

  • Highly collaborative and able to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Situated near a major airport with domestic travel expectations to be greater than 50%.
